I had the privilege this past November to travel for 3 weeks in Kenya and Rwanda. The experience of witnessing all of the magnificent wildlife in their own environment made me more determined to lend my voice to the Wildlife Trafficking Bill that will be introduced this legislative session in Pennsylvania.

PA residents, when polled, overwhelming support ending the ivory and rhino trade. Poachers are much to blame but so are American trophy hunters, including many in PA. In 2017 a bill was introduced with bipartisan support but opposition would not allow it to be voted on.

We can pass this bill this year if our legislators hear your voice. This bill will ban the sale, purchase or possession with intent to sell parts or products with giraffe, elephants, rhinos, whales, sharks, tigers, lions, and more.

As soon as the bill has a number I will reach out again with more information but in the meantime please start calling and emailing your senators and representatives today. You can find their contact information here: https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9-ODx5T13wIViYvICh3tUQTiEAAYAiAAEgIZUfD_BwE. Do this or your children and grandchildren will live in a world where we can only reflect on extinct species. We must do our part if we want to save the animals for future generations. Make that call – send that email. Make a difference!
