2020 Adoptions Results Beat All Prior Records
The Animal Care Sanctuary is excited to report that 1,243 animals found their forever homes in 2020! This is the largest number of adoptions, in any single year of our 50+ years of existence.
We could not have achieved this number of adoptions had it not been for our amazing staff, adopters, supporters, fosters, volunteers and partners. We had over 250 rescued animals in foster care throughout 2020, 50% of whom were adopted out of foster care which left room in the Sanctuary for us to rescue even more homeless animals. A special thanks as well to Endless Supply Co. and Sondra’s City Zoo for adopting out our rescued cats and dogs from their locations.
2020 was also a record year of community clinic appointments of over 5600, with over 3200 spay/neuter surgeries, over 2400 wellness appointments and thousands upon thousands of vaccinations. This was a major achievement, even with the closure of our Community Clinics for 6 weeks in the early stages of the pandemic.
