The Rescue of Oodles of Poodles
The Oodles of Poodles arrived after the Animal Care Sanctuary received a call from a woman who had just become overwhelmed by the number of dogs in her home since her husband had passed away. She had 11 poodles living in the house and requested our help.
Our Canine Care Team went to her home to help remove the dogs. These bundles of fur had never been outside of their home or met other people aside from their owner. They were very scared and in need of grooming and veterinary care.

All of them were groomed by a gracious volunteer and our veterinary technician because they had overgrown nails and matted fur. Now, they were ready for socialization and leash training in a foster home. We posted a plea for new foster families on Friday night and by Sunday afternoon; every poodle was in a foster home.

We were saddened that one of the poodles could not be saved. Seven have now been placed in loving forever homes, and the remaining three have pending adoptions.
