Animal Care Sanctuary Officially Surpasses 1,000 Adoptions In 2020 Alone!
Thanks to our partner Endless Supply Company, Forrest found his new home. What makes Forrest’s adoption extra special for us is that it marks our the 1,000th ADOPTION OF THE YEAR!!!!!!
Thanks to our awesome staff, loving adopters, wonderful supporters and our amazing partner Endless Supply Company, we have now adopted out more than 1,000 animals for 2020 and we still have a couple months to go!
In addition to Forrest, 14 cats and dogs also found their forever homes that same week.
ACS works collaboratively with other shelters across Pennsylvania, New York and all across the nation. We rescue animals from high kill areas, overcrowded under resourced shelters, areas hit by disaster, puppy mills, hoarding and abuse situations for the medical care and time they need to find forever homes.
ACS is an emergency placement partner of the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society International. ACS was instrumental in having the first pet store in New York State adopt out rescued dogs & cats versus sourcing dogs from puppy mills – and our work has been recognized as a model for others by the Humane Society of the United States. In July, 2020 we were also one of a handful of shelters in the mid Atlantic and Northeast to take in dogs rescued from the dog meat farms of South Korea. In August 2020, in collaboration with the Humane Society of the United States, we worked with the Endless Supply Company in Pennsylvania, to now source adoptable animals only from rescues.
