As one of the nation’s oldest and largest no kill shelters, Animal Care Sanctuary has rescued, restored to health and found caring homes for companion animals for nearly half a century. Love in action: ACS has always believed that animals should be treated with dignity, respect and caring. We recognize that the human-animal bond is one of the most powerful and beneficial forces on earth; thus we take responsibility for providing humane education to school children, university interns and community residents. We also take an active role in working with lawmakers and public officials on local, state and national levels to create and enforce laws to protect animals.
Affordable veterinary care including spay – neuter clinics
Animal Care Sanctuary provides the only accessible, affordable veterinary care including spay/neuter clinics to Bradford and Tioga Counties in PA. and near New York communities. We also provide a food pantry and an emergency medical fund for those who may be experiencing difficult economic times and a Canine Help Line for behavior issues. Our vigorous adoption program placed 540 animals last year; 91% of the animals taken in and provides ongoing support to our adopters.
