Get To Know Kayana

Kayana Hall – Animal Caregiver/Supervisor (Wellsoboro location)

Ashley - Catery Manager at Animal Care Sanctuar

How long have you been a part of ACS? Why did you get involved?

“I have been a part of ACS for a little over 2 years now. I was working another job at the time when Rachel, our director, offered me a caregiving position here shortly after reopening, saying she thought it would be the perfect job for me. She couldn’t have been more correct! Surely I couldnt have passed up my dream job of working to help save animals.”

Are you a dog person or a cat person?

“While I enjoy being around all animals I think dogs are my favorite. There is never a dull moment with a doggo around!”

“I Also love being a part of all the things ACS is doing and the mission of ACS in general. I truly feel like I am a part of something really great here.”

What’s your favorite part of your job?

“Well, there many, many things I love about my job. Meeting all the animals that come through here and getting to know them and seeing them go into a good home that is perfectly fit for them is definitely the biggest one. It is overall a very very rewarding job. I Also love being a part of all the things ACS is doing and the mission of ACS in general. I truly feel like I am a part of something really great here.”

Tell us about your pets!

“In the home that I rent I am unfortunately not aloud to have a cat or dog. But I did just recently take in a parakeet that someone had abandoned in an apartment so the landlord of the apartment brought him to us at ACS in Wellsboro, not knowing what else to do with him. I named him Olly and he is a sweet little guy who enjoys sitting on your finger and singing all day. We also just recently got another parakeet for Olly to have as a friend who my son named Coley. Olly is green and yellow, and Coley is blue, white, and black.”

Sponsor a pet! Tell us about your best friend at ACS and why he/she deserves to be adopted!

“Hebe! Hebe is my best bud at the moment! He is such an awesome guy, so majestic and so sweet. He is the biggest love bug. He also loves playing ball and would definitely enjoy someone with an air conditioned home with all the extra fluff he has.”

What do you think ACS needs donated the most?

“Monetary donations are always needed! Animal food is definitely needed as well!”
