“Romeow, Romeow, wherefore art thou, Romeow?” If you have an intact female cat, this is probably what you’ve started hearing for the last couple weeks. It’s that time of year again and the Juliets of the feline world are seeking their Romeows. Our community clinics have been running our annual “Beat the Heat” special with discounted cat spays. This year, we decided to change things up and add a “Quell the Smell” promo for male cats as well!

One of the most common complaints people have about stray cats is that they spray. If you have never smelled tom cat spray, let me tell you, it will take your breath away (and not in a good way). By neutering your male cats, you can prevent this unpleasant behavior from starting.

Spring is also the time of year that intact cats go missing. Hormones drive those frisky kitties away from home in search of a mate. Neutering your cat will make him far less likely to take off and get lost. He will be less likely to wander into the path of an oncoming car or into the yard of a dog who doesn’t care for feline company.

People often think neutering male cats is unimportant because it’s not the male that has the kittens. Unfortunately, males play an even bigger role in overpopulation than females. One female cat may have up to 3 litters a year. One male cat can impregnate hundreds of females in his territory every year. Don’t let your male cat be a love them and leave them Romeo. Call our clinic or go online to schedule a neuter today!
