Have you cleaned out your medicine cabinet lately?  Do you have unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medication in your medicine cabinet?  If so, mark your calendars for Saturday April 28th, 2018.  On this date from 10AM – 2PM you can dispose of prescription medication at local collection sites nationwide.

Why is this important?  For several reasons.

It can save lives.

Unused medication can be accidently ingested by pets or children.  Some drugs are toxic and can be deadly with just one dose.

Unused medication can be abused.  Our country is experiencing an opioid overdose epidemic.  Please do your part by removing these dangerous drugs from your home.

It is the safe and responsible thing to do.

Old medication can be used incorrectly or mistaken for another drug which could be harmful.

Inappropriate disposal of unwanted medication such as flushing down the toilet can lead to water contamination.

It is free and anonymous.

Please take advantage of this service.

Visit https://takebackday.dea.gov/ to find a collection site near you.
